The Balancing Game

29 years of living with chronic illness and two of my constant struggles are:-

  2. being hopeful that my illness will not prevent me from being everything that I can be

Attempting to hold both hope and acceptance creates tension as they compete against each other.  To be able to master both (as well as all the other requirements a chronic illness demands) is the pathway to freedom and purpose and fulfillment.   You need both because one without the other is a life that is either unauthentic or unfulfilling.
